Wildlife of Central America

Costa Rica is the most beautiful facinating country I have ever visited.  Tourism is the number 1 industry and it is based on the beauty of nature.  Every state has adventure tours, reservations, provincial parks all in the name of protecting nature and promoting toursim.  It is easy to get around and easy to find things to do if you have the funds. I saw lots of butterflies but it is hard to get a photo when you are zooming along on a motorcycle or  sticking to a trail in the forrest so the farm made it easy to capture the memories.  We saw tons of birds but again how do you capture a photo in the wild.

This is a photo of a sloth in the tree outside out cabin in a little pueblo in the mountains near San Isidro.  There is actually more than one cuddled in the branches having a morning snooze.

This is a photo of the crater lake of Costa Rica´s most popular volcano.

These photos were taken at Zoo Ave (zooabey).  It was hard to find the Zoo because we were looking for the Zoo on Zoo Avenue.  But there is not a Zoo Avenue the place is called Zoo Ave, Zoo of Birds. It was an interesting search.

This butterfly photos were taken at a butterfly farm outside San Jose.

This is the border into Panama.  The bikes are waiting an inspection by a border official.
